If you don't want to pay a lot to own a video or DVD permanently, you can pay a small amount (usually two or three UK pounds a night) to rent it just for a day or two. You'll probably need to set up an account at your local video shop. Video shops often want to see some form of photo ID plus a couple of proofs of where you live - like bills with your address on.
